Siya Shezi born Siyabonga Shezi in Soweto is a recording artist from Soweto, an active member of the Deep Soweto Hip-Hop Family also based in Soweto/South Africa. Siya Shezi began his rhyming back in the year 2000 rose to his pinnacle in the year 2005 through the inception of the deep Soweto crew which ruled the streets of Soweto for a long time in hip hop seminars around Soweto. In 2007 Siya Shezi saw himself recording the deep Soweto mixtape which saw him perform on many stages and traveling in neighboring provinces around south Africa.

Siya Shezi went on to record another mixtape in 2009 under the deep Soweto crew and in 2011 saw him working with grand dezaen records in recording his recently released mixtape “Iqaba” which is making heavy waves in the streets of South Africa. Siya Shezi is one emcee/artist who is keeping the Deep Soweto flag on higher levels in his gift of word delivery. A journey walked in hip hop known as Kasi Rap saw him wining the crown at slughuis in 2010 for the king of street competition. The jabulani native is strongly pushing creating his own industry through the spread of his music through the masses with his authentic rhymes.

His latest collaboration with Hip Hop heavyweight Dj’s Major League featuring Ricky Rick and Cassper Nyovest on the track The Business has also been recieved very well by music lovers on radio across the country.That video is highly contested with the feature Siya Shezi has also done with StanBeats on Isbamu sama Lyric of which music video has also just been released. His latest offering Miss Understanding has all the relevent Ghetto story concepts full with comedy and realness as hes followers have come to know him.
